Teaching

As well as performing, Anne Marie is active as a violin teacher and has taught the violin privately in London for the last 7 years. During that time she has taught students of every age - children and adults - and at every level from complete beginner to diploma. 

Anne Marie is also a regular tutor on the faculty of the Historically Informed Summer School (HISS) where she has coached the string ensemble as well as a wide variety of chamber groups (encompassing every possible string and wind instrument). 

Anne Marie is available for private violin (and viola) lessons as well as coaching in chamber music and aural skills. She is also keen to teach performance practice/baroque violin. She is happy to help students with grade exams and auditions. Most importantly she wants to pass on her passion for the instrument.

Anne Marie is available for lessons either Face to Face or using Zoom. Private lessons are charged at £36 per hour or £20 for 30 minutes. Please get in touch for further details.

Anne Marie has been teaching violin to my 6 year old. My son progressed very quickly and was able to play 2 songs in a few months. Her method (Suzuki) is very appropriate with children who are just taught to play by ear initially and then progress to learning notes reading when they are ready.
